Since 1996, the National Philanthropy Day celebration has been a key part of Richmond’s philanthropic community. The awards given annually recognize leaders who make a true impact on the quality of life, cultural vibrancy, and fabric of our region. As National Philanthropy Day enters its 21st year, the AFP Central Virginia Chapter and the National Philanthropy Day Committee are launching new award categories to recognize how philanthropy is evolving and how philanthropists and nonprofits work collaboratively to make an enduring impact.
The first new category for 2017 is the Outstanding Organizational Partner Award. Does your nonprofit work with an organization who shows a true willingness to listen and respond to the needs of the nonprofit community? Does the support provided demonstrate deep commitment through financial and volunteer investment? Then nominate an organization or business that has made a meaningful impact. Nominees for the Outstanding Organizational Partner Award can be a corporation, small business, giving circle, or association.
